Field Notes

Description:

This deer has a beautiful reddish coat in the summer but grows a thicker grey coat for the winter. Bucks (males) grow a set of antlers each year while does (females) lack this feature.

Habitat:

This doe frequents the marshes and ponds of the Wetland Trail at our Wildlife Park. There is plenty of fields and mixed forest around these wetlands for additional food and shelter.

Notes:

This year she had twins, past seasons she has had single fawns.
