Field Notes
Description:
small fly with huge brown prominent eyes. Narrow, long abdomen banded with black and burnt orange coloured fur. Rounded body also covered in burn't orange fur or hair. Black veined wings with a black dot on the outer edge of each. Legs are not overly long.
Habitat:
Grassed wasteland on the edge of remnant sub-tropical rainforest and swamp in an urban reclamation area
Notes:
This was the best image of several very bad ones. For the sake of having a record of the species in this place it is added anyway
