Description:

This huge moth had a wingspan of 12 cm. When in flight, it resembles a bat! It is primarily brown with iridescent blue shine. This is a male as the females have a prominent white band on the wings. He has scalloped lines and bands as well as a blue comma on the pointed forewing. The hindwing has a small white spot at the base and a large pink and blue oval patch with two dark spots.

Habitat:

Inside an old barn in Oak Woodland. It is found from South America to Canada
