Description:

Web with stabilimenta on which the spider rests its legs. Yellow bands are prominent on the body.

Habitat:

Urban residential neighbourhood.

Notes:

I have seen this spider species earlier but not in Kolkata.More info on Stabilimentum: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_decoration
