Field Notes

Description:

Gray Leafhopper nymph about 3 mm long with bold, white stripe down the center. There is yellow along the edge of the immature wings as well as between the eyes.

Habitat:

This hopper was on White Sage in chaparral

Notes:

Hi Leuba, they sure do! Identifying them is very tricky and usually I can only get to the family level even with expert help. I hope you get an ID for yours!
Interesting, Cindy. These seem to come in various shapes and colours, don't they? I am still struggling to find an ID for one of mine, which does not resemble any other hopper nymph I've seen in sources available to me. This one looks like one other !
