Description:

Wingspan: ♂ 34–38 mm ♀ 36–42 mm
The number of ocelli on both wings is very variable.

Habitat:

Common in cool, moist forests, coastal or riverine bush and kloofs.
Flight period: Year-round, mostly Sept–May.

Notes:

Alternate common name: Forest Brown
Afrikaans common name: Reënwoud-bosbruintjie
