Description:

Considered a red seaweed Mazzaella parksii can vary in color from olive green to golden brown to dark purple. The blades are 2-3 cm tall, rubbery and spatulate. It forms dense clusters on rock in the high intertidal of semi-exposed to exposed coastlines.

Habitat:

Spotted on rocks in the inter-tidal zone at low tide at Tongue Point.
