Field Notes

Description:

About 13mm long. Apparently, many specimens are less brightly coloured, so I suppose I was lucky to find this guy. At first glance, I mistook it for a tiger beetle, due to its swift movements.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Billy Barquedier national park.
