Field Notes

Description:

Tiny skink. Coppery head and banded body. 25mm long and too fragile to catch

Habitat:

Wasteland with eroded banks, abandoned earthworks and rocky ground with areas of leaf litter beneath gum trees. Strongly weed infested nearby. These skinks are almost crawling over one another throughout the leaf litter. They seem to to grow up to 7cm (at a guess)

Notes:

Have I given enough of an image to get an identification? These are nearby and a good photo will happen eventually
