Cody, thanks for the ID but I am sure either....I am going to wait to see if another person would challenge your ID before I finalized it.
This is my best shot on the ID at this bird. Very non-descript tanager in a place that it is almost impossible to sort through female tanagers that have no distinct markings. Based on location, and probability for abundance of this species. Matching to the drab over all appearance and SOME photos online showing to have those light blue splotchings on their wings. I'm not saying this is FOR SURE the ID, but I'm saying it is the ID Best to my ability of tropical tanagers.
