Field Notes

Description:

Red-whiskered bulbul is an extremely common resident bird in Hong Kong. I was told that they recently replaced Eurasian tree sparrows as the MOST common bird in Hong Kong. Their extremely loud call used to trouble me when I was trying to study.

Habitat:

They can be seen from urban areas to suburban areas. There are lots of them residing in Hong Kong Park as well.
