Field Notes

Description:

Flat, grayish brown cap with scattered pieces of volva. White flesh and gills. Stem was white with gray fibrils.

Habitat:

Growing on the ground in a mixed forest with lots of oak.

Notes:

This is probably either A. rhacopus and A. texasorora, but cannot be identified further without DNA analysis. Identified by the Mushroom Observer
