Field Notes

Description:

A young female jumping spider on my fingers.
Epeus sp.
I caught this one hanging by silk under my neighbour's tree.
Light green body with golden furs on it's head. 6mm in length.
Eye colors can change between green and black depend on where it is looking at.

Habitat:

This one lives on the mango tree of my opposite neighbor.
Epeus spiders live on trees and tall plants with green leaves to camouflage themselves.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 250m diameter. Epeus mirus is the only Epeus species recorded from Borneo but I may have photographed more than one Epeus species. Possibly the adult form here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/118766010
