No more fool :-))... Francesco confirmed Aeolesthes induta/holoserica.
Wow! Thank you for the ident and references bayucca!
Cerambycidae, Cerambycinae, Aeolesthes sp. I would guess and might be Aeolesthes induta/holoserica. These 2 species can only be separated by a closer view of the head. According to Francesco Vitali, a Master expert in Cerambycidae the ID Aeolesthes induta/holoserica is a valid compromise as ID. http://www.cerambycoidea.com/foto.asp?Id=54 http://www.flickr.com/photos/lennyworthington/10884030973/ http://www.cerambycoidea.com/foto.asp?Id=54 http://www.cerambycoidea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16181 I first thought it could also be a female Neocerambyx gigas, but after comparing several pictures I think it is Aeolesthes induta/holoserica. I will ask for a confirmation, since I am not 100% sure and I am a little bit careful since I made a fool of myself at the last longhorn ID :-(...
