World's largest heron approx. 1.4 m. Long black legs & bill. Eye yellow; most of the head and neck rusty brown-orange; chin & throat white; black and white stripes down fore-neck; back and upper wings solid gray

Habitat:

Inland lakes & rivers; mangrove swamps
