Description:

Wingspan 6 cm

Habitat:

Butterflyhouse at Punta Leonas, Costa Rica. The butterfly breeds in primary and secondary forest at altitudes between 0-1400m but is found more frequently at altitudes below 800m. It is found in both deciduous and evergreen forests, and also commonly occurs in orchards.
