Field Notes

Description:

Orange flowers with orange petals 8-9 cm long, curved, and covered with small randomly spaced blood red oblong spots. Stamens are 5-7 cm long with light orange filemns and dark wine-colored anthers. Plants have narrow stalks and are up to 2 m tall. Leaves are lanceolate, 8-9 cm long.

Habitat:

Pacific Northwest suburban area.

Notes:

Spotted in a back yard garden.
