Field Notes

Description:

Variable olive brown parrot with blue face. This is the Yellow vented form which has red belly, yellow vent no red on the shoulder.

Habitat:

Uncommon to rare resident in woodland and wooded water courses in drier areas of the south east and the Nullabor plain. These were found in Windorah in Channel Country of Queensland.

Yep. Leanne. I was so excited to see them. They are so pretty. We were out whoop whoop on our way to Birdsville. Windorah was as far as we got and this is where I spotted them.
This is a great spotting Kerry. Not many people will have seen these. Nice one.
