How sad! The moth is surprisingly drab for such a striking caterpillar, isn't it!

Thanks, Lauren. This caterpillar was not parasitized by wasps. On the day I made these photos, the caterpillar was quite restless. The caterpillar digs a hole, It closes the hole with earth and silk. About a month, then emerges a big ugly moth. This had no luck, the pupa was parasitized by a type of fungus yellow. I was very upset, I did not take pictures of the pupa parasitized.
