Description:

Bearded Iris, also known as German Iris has fanned, strap-like leaves; stalk flowers composed of upright petals(standards)and lower petals (falls)with tufts of hair; available in almost every color and color combination.

Habitat:

These were planted on a steep hillside for erosion control. They have thrived even though it is a less than ideal spot, and been very successful at holding the soil.
