The flower petals are approximately 1.5 inches in length. the leaves originate from the base of the plant. the plant is perennial.

Habitat:

Plant is in an irrigated butterfly garden receiving full sun.

Notes:

This is a medicinal plant used by the native Americans to treat heart problems.
