Field Notes

Description:

1/2in from wingtip to wingtip, Light brown segmented abdomen, furry hunch on back. outer wings were dark brown with rusty brown and lime green markings. Haven't seen one like this before.

Habitat:

spotted in west central ga. Our backyard is framed by both woods and field and I have several flower gardens.

Notes:

this moth appeared when I let the dogs out and turned the outdoor lights on.
