Description:
A small translucent gecko, very common to Adriatic coast, it is also known as Turkish gecko or 'Moon lizard' - the later because they come out in the evening. Its main distinctive feature are the big black and lidless eyes with a vertical pupil. The one (pictured) my son found in garrigue was some 3 cm long, translucently pinkish with brownish pattern. It also missed the most of its tail.
Habitat:
This species thrives and was observed in garrigue, soft-leaved scrub-land of Mediterranean; and favors stony land with some agave plants or houses.
