Caspian Tern

The Caspian Tern is the largest tern species (wingspan 127-145 cm). They have the same black cap as the lesser crested terns, but are significantly larger. In flight you can see that their tail is not forked, as is characteristic with so many tern species. This tern can also be identified by the black tip on the end of the orange beak and by the black wingtips visible when in flight.
