Description:
It is a very large butterfly that is commonly found in butterfly houses around the world.This one was found at the discovery gardens at fair park in south Dallas area.The butterfly has a very large wingspan some up to 6-6.5 inches.The butterfly species can be found in Central and South American rain forests.The butterfly is seen sitting on tree stumps, and when a animal tries to eat it it shows off its owl eyes on the hindwings that scare them away.The inside is a nice blue and yellow.
Habitat:
Discovery gardens at fair park.
In their natural habitat they live in the rain forests of South and Central America.
Notes:
The butterfly is resting on a palm tree.
