Description:
Komodo Dragon at the Tulsa Zoo. By and far the most popular and famous of the monitor lizards. The world's largest lizard, their size attributed to island gigantism. Famously thought to have rotting, bacteria infested saliva. Scientists in 2013 however suggested that komodo dragons have regular levels of bacteria in their mouths in relativity to other carnivores. A 2005 study found two glands in the lower mouth of the komodo which lead scientists to believe komodos and many other monitors are venomous. It's a mystery. The biggest thing to take away from this is don't let this lizard bite you.

found in the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang, and Padar

Seriously, komodo dragons are awesome and unique creatures so I suggest reading up on them because there's only so much I can put here.
