Description:
It is a striking and colorful butterfly that was feeding on horse mint that is an wildflower native to Texas.The butterfly almost looked like an abberation due to the hindwings having lots white coloration.This species usually feeds on rotting fruit and sap from a tree. Parts of the butterfly has bright blue on the wings that remind me of some of the South American and Asian species.

Notes:
This species is common throughout most of North America and can also be found throughout the world but are named by different subspecies like the Indian red admiral, but the ones in Europe are the same as in North America and some of South America.
