Description:

A small sparrow with pinkish legs, a bright yellow marking near the top of the beak, and a contrasting white throat, hence the common name and the scientific name, "albicollis," as in white throat.

Habitat:

Ground feeders often found taking shelter by twigs or in shrubbery.
