Field Notes

Description:

Perennial plant, climbing or sneaking, with large, smooth lobes, often cardioid in the base with short stalk.
Blue-violet, single-breasted flowers, 4-5 cm in diameter, pentamers, with inner scallop tube and long stem.

Habitat:

It is almost everywhere on mainland Greece and the islands in wet, shady places. Cultivated as ornamental.
