Field Notes

Description:

Large toad spotted on concrete walkway soon after a rainstorm. I'm not an expert on amphibians, so I would love help with an ID. I'm guessing something in the Anaxyrus genus? The knobs behind the interorbital crest point to the Southern Toad I think?

Habitat:

Pine/hardwood forest with two nearby ponds.
