Description:
Medium sized white bird with overall white plumage; reddish orange legs and reddish orange downcurved very pointed beak. In the current poses the birds are from 28 to 30 inches in height from feet to top of head.
Habitat:
Fresh water retention pond in office park.
Notes:
A rather common bird, I decided to take this poic because of their behaviours. Due to temperatures being cool (60 degrees fahrenheit) the birds are normally very busy picking at the ground and moving frantically about. At this temp they were settled near the pond bank with head pulled in. Very calm.
