Field Notes

Description:

It was about 15 mm long. It was mostly green with a white and orange back and red eyes.

Habitat:

I found this on a wisteria vine.

Notes:

I can't figure out what species it is, but I know it's an assassin bug nymph from the genus zelus. It caught a sweat bee from the genus Lasioglossum and was feeding on it.

Thanks ForestDragon, will do.
You can use Zelus sp. as the scientific name if you are not comfortable with a specific species. For the common name, you can put "Assassin Bug" or "Assassin Bug nymp" (or similar). I will usually leave a reference link for the genus if I don't know the species. Like this one: http://bugguide.net/node/view/4403
