Field Notes

Description:

Small, reddish-brown Scarab, 5 mm in length. It has orange hair on the underside and a fine bristly coat of hair on the elytra. While very small, the eyes are enormous. Family Scarabaeidae.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico 2,200 meters.
