Habitat:

In spring, grows spontaneously in many gardens, parks and urban grasslands in urban centers; or on edges of forests and natural grasslands and meadows.

Flowers are also used to parfume some home made drinks and sweet sauces, or simply as decor. It is also widely used in fragrance and perfume industry.
Moreover, some sources state that whole plant was used in traditional medicine, in treatment of respiratory infections. The plant also possesses sudorific and diuretic properties.
