Hi Neilen, similar spotting of a fly with the same type of eye structure (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/16528229) I agree with Argy Bee about "Horse Fly" and Family Tabanidae.
Hi Neilen... I'm no expert but I think this is of the family Tabanidae (sometimes called 'horse flies') It's a handsome little creature... even if it does bite :)
