Description:

Leaf bud size or kernel of corn sized. Jumps a fair distance. Did not try to evade my contact.

Habitat:

Willow tree for this example.

I think this may actually be a Two-striped Planthopper. It looks like it has the characteristic reddish stripe along the edge of each wing. The wings also look to have a more rounded appearance than Siphanta acuta. For comparison: http://bugguide.net/node/view/43619
