Field Notes

Description:

Very small birds, they are gray-brown all over with wing bars and a golden patch on the top of the head with black stripes on either side of it.

Habitat:

They are found in trees and shrubs across North America, often seen hopping around very quickly.

Notes:

This guy was actually being really cooperative for pictures, too bad the lighting was bad :( In Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
