Description:

Honeybee-sized solitary bee that is an obligate pollinator of flowers in the squash family.

Habitat:

Low, open area adjacent to riparian area below a dam for a reservoir. Associated with Bush Morning Glory, Ipomoea leptophylla.

Notes:

Female is in first image, male in second.
