Field Notes

Notes:

This young male Black Bear decided to make a meal out of my bird seed one morning. I watch and photographed the bear from inside the house for the 45 minutes he was there. It was a pleasure to see a bear this close. He looks comfortable in these pictures, but a couple of times he got spooked and ran a little ways up a tree. He was just passing through and I never saw him again.

Good luck Ashley and Rosa he was rather entertaining:-)
Causing trouble. I love it. He's quite a character.
I bet! Really hoping for a daytime bear this summer on the east coast :) I hope you get your bobcat sometime soon!
This was exciting to see the bear during the day and he stayed for 45 minutes with good light on him! Now I'm hoping a bobcat makes an appearance in my yard:-)
Super jealous of this, must have been so cool to see!
Same thing happened to me. This bear came to attack my bird feeder and he was so close to me (luckily, I was in the house). I was so afraid and started to scream at the bear. I wish I didn't ( I could have more pictures of the bear), but I was so afraid..... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/13102286
