Description:
Chase Woodruff and Giovanni Aceto .Has a shade of green, found growing on Live Oak or Bald Cypress trees. Very thin and strand like. It provides shelter for numbers of animals and creatures. Humans use Spanish Moss in a number of ways for example Insulation in blankets, mix it with clay to strengthen plaster, used to make string and rope, and woven into mats.
Habitat:
It grows on trees by rivers, swamps, and coastal plains in the southeast part of the united states. It will only grow in high humidity environments because of this only found south of Virginia.
Notes:
A little known fact is that Spanish Moss isn't moss at all and its also not Spanish. Also people think its ok to eat it when its not.
