Description:
A butterfly in the family: Pieridae. The underside of wings is yellow with pink highlights. Distinctive false eye on the forewing. The top side of the wings has markings that resemble a dog's face.
Habitat:
Spotted on lantana flowers at a pollinator/butterfly garden along Reelfoot Lake in western Tennessee.
