Description:
The orange facial skin and the slightly down-curved yellow beak readily identify this species. In flight, underwing shows little contrast as underwing coverts are longitudinally barred black and white It's belly pattern is also different from any other Sri Lankan stork, having w2hite underparts with a broad breast band formed by fine black barring. Sifts through mud and water for aquatic prey.
