Field Notes

Description:

The flower measures about 6cm long and is a bright fuschia pink, and it grows like a weed in the rainy season (Jan-May) - in fact some think it is a weed.

Habitat:

Amongst rocks, side of the road and it appears happy everywhere

Notes:

Some have suggested a busy lizzie but I don't think so. I imagine it must be a flower that was introduced years ago by the British ... or maybe not!
Please help :)

I agree with Machi...Looks like M. jalapa to my eyes.
Looks like a Mirabilis to me.
Welcome to Noah Zomba! Nice to see you join. This does look familiar. I'm not sure if its Impatiens or not but I think a friend at work will know.
