Description:
Vine
Flowers. Blue/purple/violet/pink with white or yellow splash at the base of the banner/standard petal; borne on raceme on bracted pedicels; flowers open from the bottom to the top.
Leaves. Compound with 3 leaflets; alternate; leaflets may be entire or lobed with soft hair on the underside.
Fruit legume pod covered densely with golden-brown hairs.
Habitat:
Growing in understory of mixed pine/deciduous forest.
Notes:
Growing densely as a ground cover in open areas; aggressively climbing trees at the edge of the forest.
