Description:

It's been awhile since I've been down to Edmonds at low tide and there was just a slim window of good weather today, so I went down this afternoon to take advantage of the sunshine. I was greeted with this fearless great blue heron that didn't flinch when a harbor seal swam right up and brushed my leg. I was fewer than 5 feet away from this guy when it happened, and it wasn't until I flailed my hands that it finally flew away.

Photo taken with a Pentax 300mm prime telephoto lens in Edmonds, WA.
