Field Notes

Description:

A yellow and white spider with black bands on its legs. Abdomen is ridged.

Habitat:

In a web on a Century plant (Agave americana) in the Andes at an altitude of 2400 masl.

Notes:

I was surprised to see the same species of spider at that altitude (and temperature) as in the jungle https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/959900154.
