Description:

Low-growing vine with small, round leaves that are shiny. Flowers grow in pairs, bright white with hairy insides. Leaves are evergreen. This plant produces red berries that are an important source of food for wildlife, especially birds.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Rockwood Park, Virginia.
