Description:

Iridescent moth about 25mm long. These pictures were taken during 7 days starting from 27/08/15

Habitat:

Spotted in my garden.

Thank you Dr. Sherpa.. It was wonderful.. but unfortunately the moth selected a Papaya tree to deposit the eggs which is not the correct host tree for the species. So all the larvae died of within two days of hatching. Papaya leaf oozes out a very potent sap which is not edible for many insects.
What a satisfying feeling you might have had Sunny to follow them through the stages of their life cycle! Now for the pupa stage and back to adult! Good luck!
