Field Notes

Description:

The marmot is a creature that loves to live in high altitudes such as the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Marmots mainly eat greens and many types of grasses, berries, lichens, mosses, roots and flowers.

Habitat:

High altatude mountainous terrain of Colorado. They are excellent diggers and live in burrows that can span for large distances.

Notes:

I saw this critter running around the rocks and whistling the tune that probably stood as a warning. This marmot was reacting to the public near him quite a bit.
