Description:

Massively bristly. Bright orange.

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty in West Bengal, India. This caterpillar was spotted in the garden of the resort we stayed in.

Notes:

John Horstman has identified it as Likely Areas galactina, Arctiinae, Erebidae.
I have seen the adult in this area.
